Pumpkin Craft Night

My friend Elizabeth and I got together last Saturday night to do some fall crafting, while our husbands watched football. Our theme of the night was "Pumpkins"! Pumpkins of all kinds! We had a lot of fun and got a little messy. Actually, I'm still finding glitter all throughout my kitchen almost a week later. So maybe, a lot messy. :) Here are some pics of all the fun....

Twine wrapped letters

Since I decided to keep my felt rose wreath inside, I needed a new idea for my front door. So without further adieu, here it is!

I loved the way this turned out. Twine was the perfect wrapping material for this project. It's mildly rough in texture, color is a perfect neutral, and doesn't seem to fray easily. It's also very "fall-ish", which is why I love it so much! The soft felt flowers are also a nice touch in contrast with the rough twine, and I got plenty of practice making them with the wreath I made earlier and all of Gwyneth's hair clips and headbands. My husband is scared he's going to come home one day to a house covered in felt, rolled flowers. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. :) But, if he does, I'll be sure to blog about it! Happy Fall!
